Felice Tagliaferri works in cooperation with the Museo Tattile Statale Omero, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, the Vatican Museums, the Brera Academy, the Academy of Rome and the Guggenheim Collection of Venice, participation in TEDEX Bologna Women, organisation and management of the first Marble Sculpture Symposium for blind people in cooperation with the Municipality of Carrara.
The courses and workshops for the manipulation of clay and stone sculpture open to all (no skill or experience is required) are tailored to the needs and requests of the client. A unique learning experience to re-examine your personal vision on aspects that concern relationships and dynamics in work and study groups. With Maestro Felice Tagliaferri, the only trainer and sculptor in the blind community, we will acquire "other" means of communication and interaction, we will welcome stimuli and suggestions to think about our work routine in a different way or to imagine new projects. It is a meeting in the dark with sculpture, but also an encounter in the dark with the part of ourselves that is less known, or that we hide from our eyes. RE-BORN IN THE DARK is: • For companies and teambuilding as it is an opportunity free from the usual relationships between colleagues and superiors and from the obligations of routine. A teambuilding activity to reshape the work environment, a tool to dismantle the prejudices and beliefs that have been crystallised by personal and work experiences. • For schools and institutes, support teachers, therapists, healthcare workers and osa as a chance to experience the condition of disability and thanks to the guidance of an expert hand to understand that there are no ‘disabled’ and ‘able’, everyone has their disabilities and everyone can find their abilities. It is a chance to reflect on ideas for new educational proposals. • For therapeutic centres and hospitals because it is an opportunity to let your patients and colleagues experience new techniques and methods of tactile art therapy. • For artists, artisans, creators, and other professionals (architects, illustrators, graphic designers) for in-depth professional analysis to acquire new techniques and skills.
RESUME
From 2001 to present, Felice Tagliaferri has participated in numerous exhibitions and international competitions. He holds training courses for adults and laboratories for children at schools and therapeutic centres throughout Italy and abroad and he has played a key role in cultural installations and events dedicated to raising awareness on the subject of disability.
• Felice Tagliaferri works in cooperation with the Museo Tattile Statale Omero, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, the Vatican Museums, the Brera Academy, the Academy of Rome and the Guggenheim Collection of Venice.
• Exhibition of his works held at the Vittoriano premises in Rome, inaugurated by the former President of Italy, Carlo Azelio Ciampi.
• He has participated as a speaker at various conferences, including "Si puo Sorreri nel dolore" alongside the clown doctor Patch Adams. For many years, he has held educational workshops in schools of all levels and since 2007 he has been conducting workshops of his own in the dark in collaboration with various associations. Since 2016, he has been an accredited art therapist.

• Organisation and management of the first Marble Sculpture Symposium for blind people in cooperation with the Municipality of Carrara and the company Pemart Srl.
• In 2014 he participated in a project of CBM Italia Onlus that provided for the launch of a
permanent artistic workshop at the Bethany School in Shillong, India. During the project, he taught a
group of disabled students and their teachers the techniques of working with clay. The
project was the subject of the documentary "Un Albero Indiano” by Silvio Soldini and Giorgio Garini.

• He is one of the subjects of the book by Candido Cannavò "E li chiamano disabili", published by Rizzoli in 2005, and of the book by Mauro Marcantoni "I ciechi non sognano il buio", published by FrancoAngeli in 2008. Adina Pugliese dedicated a chapter of his book "L'arte è utile. Comunque bella" to him. He has also been quoted in various newspapers and television programmes and numerous dissertations at the Art Academies of Brera, Bologna, Urbino and Carrara and at the Rome’s Terza Università.
• Worked with the company INTESYS, a web agency that deals with technological innovation with
particular attention to ethical and social issues, contributing to the creation and development of an app to support the mobility of disabled people.
